LeapSpace trial access for RBI: explore generative AI designed for research

Written by

The Ruđer Bošković Institute research community will have trial access to Elsevier's LeapSpace, a new AI-powered research environment designed around researchers' workflows and needs.

LeapSpace brings together key research activities in one place:

  • exploration and analysis of scholarly literature
  • in-depth Deep Research reports (including assumptions, limitations, and future research directions)
  • identification of trends, research gaps, and contradictions in the literature
  • comparison of publications and methodological approaches
  • discovery of experts and potential collaboration partners (based on Scopus data)
  • identification of funding sources and specific grant opportunities

The platform draws on Scopus data and full-text content from multiple publishers, covering more than 15 million publications from Elsevier, Sage, Emerald, Oxford University Press, and others. Clear source references and contextual attribution allow users to verify each insight, within a secure research environment designed to protect ideas and data.

The trial offers an opportunity to explore:

  • how researchers can enter a new research area more efficiently
  • what it means to work with AI grounded exclusively in trusted scholarly sources
  • how such a tool can genuinely support everyday research workflows and teaching at the highest academic level

Trial period: 29 October to 19 November 2026.
