Abstract:
This presentation introduces OpenCode.HR, the national open-source platform established for the academic and scientific community in Croatia. Hosted on the secure infrastructure of the University Computing Centre (Srce) in partnership with FER, FOI, and FERIT, OpenCode.HR provides a sovereign, collaborative environment for developing, sharing, and archiving research software.
Beyond standard Git repository hosting, OpenCode.HR integrates a complete suite of developer tools: GitLab for version control, issue tracking, and CI/CD automation; a central Wiki and community Forum; visual diagramming and collaborative note-taking tools (Excalidraw, HedgeDoc, IT Tools); and a national public Project Catalog with open licensing guidance (OSI, EUPL).
The presentation will explore the platform's architecture and capabilities, followed by a practical onboarding guide for researchers at the IRB. Attendees will learn how to authenticate via AAI@EduHr, establish projects, manage permissions, and adopt best practices for sharing reproducible and open research code.

His research focuses on parallel and distributed computing, code optimization, hybrid and GPU programming, and linear algebra, with applications in computational chemistry, materials science, and theoretical physics. Dr. Davidović has participated in over 14 international and national research projects and has published 42 original scientific papers in international journals and conference proceedings.
Tom Wildman is a software developer with extensive experience in both enterprise and consumer software development. While he did most work in frontend languages and frameworks, he does have experience in backend and other supporting technologies. He has worked across the full software development lifecycle, from designing and implementing user-facing applications to integrating backend services and APIs.
Dubravko Penezić is a software developer specializing in authentication and authorization systems. Since 2001, he has been with the University Computing Centre (SRCE) in Zagreb, where he leads the national eduroam service in Croatia. He actively participates in national and international open-source initiatives and serves as a member of the OpenCode.HR operational team. He has authored several key software tools, including user onboarding utilities (installer.eduroam.hr), RADIUS infrastructure testing tools (monitor.eduroam.org), and eduroam network monitoring solutions (status.eduroam.hr).
