Tema predavanja, "Ethics of Scientific Publication — Deficient Institutional Responses", istražuje odgovornost autora, recenzenata, časopisa i istraživačkih institucija u očuvanju integriteta znanstvene literature.
Jeste li znali? Većina povlačenja znanstvenih radova rezultat je neetičnog ponašanja, a ne nenamjernih pogrešaka — što ukazuje na stalnu potrebu za institucionalnom reformom u području istraživačke etike.

Explore how institutional passivity threatens the integrity of scientific publications and what potential solutions exist for strengthening the responsibility of authors, reviewers, scientific journals, and research institutions.
With the new year comes the launch of a new Horizon Europe project by the Ruđer Bošković Institute - PATTERN (Piloting open and responsible Activities and Trainings Towards the Enhancement of Researchers Networks). This project focuses on coordination and support, aiming to promote the practice of open and responsible research and innovation (RRI) through the development and piloting of activities and training for researchers at all stages of their careers. Financed within the Horizon Europe Framework Program, the project spans 42 months and involves a total of 19 organizations and institutions from 13 European countries. One of the partners is the Ruđer Bošković Institute, with its Center for Scientific Information and the Department of Public Relations and Promotion of Popularization Projects actively collaborating on the project, including the development and implementation of training for researchers.
Transformative agreements are contracts with publishers aimed at shifting the current subscription-based business model of scholarly journals towards open access publishing by redirecting subscription funds to cover publishing costs.
A newly released report on transformative agreements provides an overview of the current state, analyzes the legal aspects of these agreements, and offers recommendations.
